Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to bookings made with The Beacon Sauna and to your use of our wood-fired sauna in Co. Cork. By booking a session or using our facilities, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy.

1. Booking

Sessions are booked online through our booking page at bookasession.org/beaconsauna. Shared sessions run 45 or 55 minutes for up to 12 people, and a private session for your own group is a 55-minute session for up to 18 people. Spaces are limited, so we'd always recommend booking ahead. Any walk-up spaces depend on availability on the day.

2. Age

You must be aged 18 or over to book and to attend shared sessions. Under-18s may attend private bookings only, and only when accompanied by an adult (aged 18 or over) who is responsible for them and stays with them throughout, including in the sauna and at the water. The adult must make the booking. We may ask for valid photo ID, and entry may be refused where age or responsibility cannot be confirmed.

3. Private & group hire

You can book the whole sauna privately for a 55-minute session, for up to 18 people. For anything larger, specific plans or anything else to discuss, get in touch at info@beaconsauna.ie and we'll sort something out.

4. Cancellations, rescheduling & refunds

You can cancel or reschedule through the booking system up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund or a change of time. Inside that window, sessions are non-refundable. If your plans change, please let us know as early as you can.

5. No-shows & late arrivals

If you don't attend and haven't told us in advance, the session fee is not refunded. If you arrive late, we may not be able to extend your time, as the next session and other guests depend on us running to schedule.

6. Bundles & gift vouchers

Bundles and gift vouchers are bought through our booking page. Bundles are for 55-minute sessions. Unless stated otherwise, they are for personal use, non-transferable and have no cash value. Gift vouchers are valid for five years from purchase. Bundles are valid for 12 months from purchase. Sessions booked with them are shared unless you book a private session. Offers and discounts generally can't be combined; the details are shown at the point of purchase.

7. Health & safety

Sauna and cold-water use carry real risks and aren't suitable for everyone. Before you book, please read our Disclaimer in full. By booking, you confirm you have read it and that you take part at your own risk.

8. Conduct

To keep the place safe and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that you:

We may refuse entry or ask anyone to leave, without a refund, for behaviour that puts others at risk or ignores these rules.

9. Personal belongings

You are responsible for your own belongings. We can't accept liability for items that are lost, damaged or stolen, except where caused by our negligence. See our Lost & Found policy for how we handle items left behind.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Irish law. Beyond that, to the fullest extent the law allows, The Beacon Sauna is not liable for loss, injury or damage arising from your use of our facilities or of the natural surroundings, including the sea. Please report any accident or incident to us straight away so it can be recorded.

11. Privacy

We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual property

The name, logo, wording and images on this website belong to The Beacon Sauna and may not be used without our permission.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
